演題:Single-cell and spatial dissection of plant-microbe interactions
要旨:
In multicellular organisms, individual cells interpret a multitude of developmental and environmental signals through unique gene regulatory mechanisms, leading to highly diverse cellular responses. A comprehensive understanding of tissue function necessitates investigating these complex gene regulatory patterns within individual cells, all while maintaining the native three-dimensional (3D) tissue context. In this seminar, I will cover two main topics: (1) the use of single-cell multiomics and spatial transcriptomics in studying the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana, and (2) the development of PHYTOMap, a novel method for multiplexed single-cell 3D spatial gene expression analysis in whole-mount plant tissue. I will discuss how the integration of these methodologies allows for unprecedented resolution in studying plant-microbe interactions.
略歴 :
Dr. Tatsuya Nobori is a Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Joe Ecker at the Salk Institute in San Diego, California. He completed his Ph.D. in 2019 in the group of Kenichi Tsuda at the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research in Cologne, Germany, where he established methods to analyze bacterial transcriptomes and proteomes in planta. His studies revealed how plants influence the responses of pathogens and microbiota. Tatsuya’s current research goal is to understand plant-microbe interactions at the single-cell resolution by incorporating and developing new sequencing and imaging technologies. In the summer of 2024, he is set to establish a new lab at The Sainsbury Laboratory (TSL) in Norwich, UK. You can follow him on Twitter, @nobolly.
