The Center for Digital Green-innovation (CDG) is pleased to invite Prof. George Fletcher from Eindhoven University of Technology (The Netherlands) for a special seminar (in English). This seminar will offer valuable insights for faculty and staff interested in the use of generative AI in education, as well as for students reflecting on the role of AI in the classroom. Title:On the (im)possibilities of generative AI in education
Abstract:This talk aims to delineate a boundary between what generative AI can and cannot do, especially in the context of education. The first part will explore the capabilities and limitations of generative AI technologies. The second part will consider the implications of these findings for university education, requiring us to articulate and reflect on the fundamental purposes of education itself.
