NAIST Senju Monju Project is started. (On campus only)

Based on the “Next Generation” Support Program (Daiichi-Sankyo Inc.), the NAIST Senju Monju Project will provide broad support for activities that will enable young researchers at NAIST to begin new research based on their own ideas (Phase1), followed by the development of new research, including interdiciplinary research, by young researchers studying different fields of research (Phase2). The name of this project is borrowed from the name of Bodhisattva Senju-Kannon, who “saves all things,” and Monju Bodhisattva, who is known for his “wisdom of three men” . This project is expected not only to promote the careers of the young researchers who participate in the project, but also to lead to the acquisition of a wide variety of research seeds at NAIST, and to make a significant contribution to the implementation of problem-solving research and social implementation of research using these seeds.
