
The sessions are planned as an opportunity for NAIST students to discuss with invited speakers from the members of NAIST Green Economy Consortium, as they introduce the latest information from industry. It will be held in the form of a luncheon seminar (with snack and beverages), and we look forward to seeing you there.

Title: Behind the Scenes of an E-Commerce Site with 10 Million Users! The Technical Challenges of MonotaRO Supporting Its Workforce
Abstract: MonotaRO is a company based in Osaka that specializes in online sales of on-site materials. We pride ourselves on operating one of the largest BtoB e-commerce platforms in Japan, with over 10 million users. While our website may look simple on the surface, it is powered by advanced technologies designed to support working professionals. In this session, we will introduce both the e-commerce industry and our company, while also sharing what goes on behind the scenes from the perspectives of engineering and data science. Alumni employees will also be joining as speakers, so please feel free to participate!
Note: Onsite sessions are open to all NAIST students, faculty, and staff, but light meals are provided for students only. Please note that we are unable to accommodate allergies, etc. with regard to the lunch and beverages provided. You will be notified by Thursday, September 11 about either on-site or online participation.
