The NAIST Senju Monju Project was initiated with the support of The “Next Generation” Support Program was launched in 2023 by Daiichi Sankyo Co. Ltd. The project will provide broad support for activities that will enable young researchers at NAIST to begin new research based on their own ideas (Phase 1), followed by the development of new research, including interdisciplinary research, by young researchers studying different fields of research (Phase2).
Young Researchers’ Ideathon Camp for Interdisciplinary Research
On August 30 (Fri.) – 31 (Sat.), 2024, the Young Researchers’ Ideathon Camp for Interdisciplinary Research was held at “i & i LAND” in Shijonawate City, Osaka Prefecture. Dr. Makito Haruta (Chitose University of Science and Technology), who participated in the “Humanophilic Innovation Project,” a pioneering interdisciplinary research promotion project at NAIST, and is still active in collaborative research between medical engineering and agricultural engineering, gave an invited talk. The participants also had a chance to exchange ideas for new research while deepening their understanding of each other. At the idea presentation session, a number of interesting ideas were presented that will lead to the Phase 2 interdisciplinary research.
