Based on our university’s Co-Creation Community Declaration announced in 2022, the Center for Digital Green Innovation is organizing a seminar aimed at creating an environment where students, faculty, and staff with diverse identities and backgrounds can learn, work, and realize their full potential with peace of mind.
These events are open to all students, staff, and faculty. President Kazuhiro Shiozaki and Trustee and Executive Director Naokazu Odani are also scheduled to participate. You are welcome to have lunch while attending. We hope you will join us in making NAIST a welcoming place for everyone to learn and work.
This year, Diversity Week will take place from Monday, November 30 to Friday, December 4. Introductory seminars will be held on Monday, November 30 and Tuesday, December 1. Both sessions cover the same ontent, so please attend whichever is more convenient for you.
On Thursday, December 3, we will hold an in-person discussion titled “Let’s Talk about Diversity: Questions, Concerns, and Uncertainties.”
On Friday, December 4, we will welcome Yusuke Katsura of Ritsumeikan University, whose research explores how people with diverse beliefs and faiths can live together, for a seminar focusing on Muslims in Japan.
